Alden A. Gaines

Bishop Alden A. Gaines was born on December 8th 1941 to parents Alden Bowen and Ella Gaines at Philadelphia General Hospital, In Philadelphia Pa. He was the oldest of three children. On April 17th, 2018 Bishop Alden A. Gaines went from labor to reward peacefully in his home in Paulsboro, NJ surrounded by his loving wife and family. He joined a host of family and friends who have preceded him in death including his Daughter: Danielle Gaines and Granddaughter: Angelika (Angel) Gaines. Those left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy include, loving and devoted best friend and wife: Pastor Marie Gaines; His five children: Dana Kilgoe (Dr. Tyrone Kilgoe), Derek Gaines, Pastor Dawn Gaines- Schuler (Pastor Donald Schuler Sr.), Daria Gaines, Pastor David Gaines; One Daughter in law Yvette Gaines; One brother, Bishop John Gaines (Pastor Karole Gaines), one sister Rev. Norma Clarkson (Pastor John Clarkson); Three aunts Ada Dawson- Allen, Lillian Ray and Ernestine Burton; Ten grandchildren, Brandon Kilgoe, Brent Kilgoe, Donald Schuler Jr., Brycen Kilgoe, Matthew Schuler, Jordyn Gaines, David Gaines Jr., Diamond Schuler, Bryah Kilgoe and Isaiah Gaines. One Godson, Benjamin Cuyler Jr.; Mother in law, Esther Dunston and two sister in laws, Inez Dunston and Janette Ross. He leaves behind a host of family (Gaines and Bowen), close friends and sons and daughters in the ministry.
