Betty raised her niece Lisa Exum as if she was her own child; she loved to spend time with her other nieces and nephews, as they were growing up. After she retired, she soon became a great aunt/grandmother to Lisa’s son Yarmez and croix, she helped raise them and Betty went to events with her high school classmates over the years. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City every summer. She loved teaching math and helping others. She gave contributions to charities as well as family members. She loved sending Christmas cards every year.
