Beverly Martin began her life on December 3, 1954. She was blessed with her parents, the late Julia and John Martin. She was the youngest of four sisters and a brother. Beverly was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and educated through the Philadelphia Public School District.
Beverly met Willie Tuggles in 1966, and they were married, February 17, 1978. They were blessed with six children Willie Jr., Teaira, Krisinda, Maurice (deceased), Kristoffer, and Marcus, their home was always filled with laughter, amazing family fun and a genuine love for life.
Beverly was baptized at Mother Bethel AME Church and received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Through the trails and tribulations of life, Beverly knew who could solve every issue, circumstance, and situation. She frequently used one of God’s greatest tools, and that is prayer.
Beverly was one way all the time, a straight shooter. She was not a middle-roader… either its right or wrong. She had a unique manner of talking to people but most importantly, she knew how to listen. She would be the first to tell you that she’s not perfect and she’s not your judge. Nevertheless, she did not pretend to be more than herself.
She loved family gathering and friends coming together with the sole purpose of enjoying one another’s company. Every reunion was great food and great fun!
Yes… Beverly enjoyed fun times, but she knew the power of prayer. Praying is what helped to hold her family together and she knew who held her and was in control of everything.
Beverly departed this earthly life on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at 2:45 a.m. to begin her rest in the lord and reunite with her beloved mother, Julia.
