Bruce Wadell Burton

Bruce Waddell Burton was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Shirley A. Burton and Clifford W. Hundley on October 17, 1953. Educated in the Philadelphia Public School System, Bruce graduated from Edward Bok Vocational and Technical High School in 1972. While attending Bok, Bruce met the love of his life, Tanya Hawkes, in 1969. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 46 years, Tanya Burton; a son, Elijah Demetreus Andrews and two daugthers, Rhandi Renee Burton and Kaiseha Sharon Starchia; fifteen grandchildren; Cruz Cordell Chapman, Austin Samuel DonQuavious Matthews, Ashleigh Keaira Ayanna Andrews, Likita Leighann Mayfield, Daishone Nilieme Burton, Namier Jasieme Burton, Zhaijai Nalik'Seoj Burton, Thaion Wadell Burton, Shaiel Eylond Burton, Netahn Lyras Burton, Julian Malik Starchia, Akeem Sahmir Starchia, Alaiah Monae Starchia; seven great-grandchildren; brother Michael Burton and sister Kama Anderson; brother-in-law Rudolph Hawkes (Karen) and sister-in-law Melody Joy Williams (Eric); beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; friends, neighborhood, community; and Goddaughters Tashika K. Williams, Brandy S. Sumpter, and Naadiya K. Davis.
