Carmella Renee Steele
Carmella Renee Steele began her journey on earth December 23, 1965 as God placed her in the hands of her loving and devoted mother, Gwendolyn Beaty and father Marvin Williams. Carmella affectionately known as" Mella" had a heart of gold. For many years Carmella was found encouraging and uplifting others through the Word of God: she loved the lord and she loved people. Despite medical difficulties, Carmella believed in the power of God and the power of prayer as, evident of how she prayed daily for God's will.
Carmella was educated in the Philadelphia School District . She graduated from South Philadelphia High School and pursued a career in medical billing and Office Management. She received an Associate's degree from Thompson Institute. Carmella was employed by Community Council MH/MR Presbyterian Hospital and St. Ignatius.
In 1974 Carmella was diagnosis with Lupus, Lupus is a auto immune disorder that can affect the skin, joints, kidney, brain and other organs. Lupus affects your immune system, which fights off viruses, bacteria and germs. With Lupus your immune system cannot tell the difference between "good and bad" invaders of your body causing the person affected by Lupus, to create antibodies that attack healthy tissue. These antibodies cause inflammation, pain, and damage in various parts of the body.
Under doctors care Carmella was determined to have a full life. She battled through the symptoms and never stopped being a Mother, Daughter ,Sister,Fiance or Friend Throughout her illness she continued to give of herself , supporting others through babysitting, and being an active participant in church functions. Even thought having Lupus caused Carmella great discomfort most of the time, she never allowed her conditions to defeat her Spirit. Carmella was always, laughing, joking, encouraging and helping those around her. On September 18, 2012 God in his infinite wisdom decided that Carmella had had enough and called her home.
Bereaved by her loss, but uplifted by her homegoing: are devoted and loving parent Gwendolyn Beaty, Children, Shanea, Shalea and Shabrea, Fiancé Clifford King and a host of Siblings, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews relatives and friends.
Tribute to Carmella's life will be held Saturday September 29th, 2012 at Miracle Temple Church of Christ,
