Cassandra Pendleton

Cassandra Was Born on June 23, 1952 to the late Juanita Marie Winslow and Elliot Allen In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her family affectionately knew her as "Aunt Sandra". Cassandra was educated in the Philadelphia public school system, where she graduated from South Philadelphia High School. She also met the love of her life, Bruce Pendleton, while in high school. Their first date was in 1969, on Valentine's Day. June 14, 1975 they were joined as one in holy matrimony and never left each other's side. Cassandra has no biological children, however, she took on the parenting role of Sharita, Alexis, Shawn, Erica, Harold "Goo", Tamika, Dwayne, Yvette, Yavocka, Chris and other nieces/ nephews. Cassandra was an extremely hard worker and beyond committed. 11hile in High School, she started working at Presbyterian, where she then progressed and became a member of 1 199c Union, working at Graduate Hospital for 25 years. After Graduate Hospital, Cassandra became employed at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and has been there for 12 years. Cassandra was known for being the "life of the party", extremely funny, full of life and having a kind/loving heart. She enjoyed listening to music and loved to dance. Young and the Restless was her favorite soap opera and she loved watching court shows, such as Judge Mathis and Judge Judy. She went out her way to make sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed. There was no "bad day" around Cassandra because her spirit kept people uplifted. Cassandra was proceeded in death by her beloved mother, Juanita Winslow; and father, Elliott Allen; her husband, Bruce Pendleton: he eight siblings: Melvena, Lucille, Alease, Phillip, Skipper, luanita Darcella "Ronnie", and Javoie "Rita" , She also leaves behind to cherish her memories: nieces/daughters, Shrita and Alexis, and nephew/son Shawn; and two of her remaining siblings, (Gloria and as Tony; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends.
