Diane Chapman was born December 12, 1951 to James Henry and Mary E. Robinson, in Salters, South Carolina. She was one of six siblings and on August 16, 1997 married Thomas Brown and was a devoted mother to Benjamin, Diane and John.
She was educated in the Philadelphia Public Schools and a graduate of South Philadelphia High School and over the years worked at various companies including Devon Nursing Home as a Nursing Assistant and Security at the Navy Yard in the Philadelphia area. She also served as a Voting Poll member for many years.
Diane was baptized at an early age by Rev. Nathan Herndon at Greater Mount Sinai Baptist Church where over the years she served in many ways including a choir member, soup kitchen and any other duties that were asked. She was a dedicated member who gave above and beyond to the church and to the community.
Diane was much loved by her neighbors. Diane enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and have a great time. She loved to cook and was famous for her potato salad and deviled eggs.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Mary and James, her sisters Connie, Judy and Lueann.
She is survived by and leaves to mourn her devoted husband Tom; her loving children- Benjamin, Diane and John; grandchildren -Sakeema, Tyrone, Tashineek, Terrell, Tyera and Richard; a host of great-grandchildren; sister- Virgie; brother- James; best friend - Janet; her nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, a host of family and friends.
