Edward Benjamin Taylor, 66, of South Philadelphia PA passed away on Saturday, Jue 24, 2023, after a heroic battle with cancer. Ed was born on February 18, 1957, to Edna Taylor and Frank Benjamin in Philadelphia, PA and educated in the Philadelphia Public School System.

After high school, Ed enlisted in the United States Army. Ed took great pride in his work as a Supervisor at the Spectrum. His work was admired by staff and colleagues alike and his attention to detail was exemplary.

After 49 years of service, he retired and the organization even dedicated and retired a jersey in his honor.

Ed was proceeded in death by his sister Henrietta Harrell. Ed leaves to mourn his wife, Yvette Taylor.

Ed is survived by his siblings Frederick Bowens, Pearl Jones, Margaret Jones (of Stockbridge Georgia). Alan Taylor and good friend Mr. Carl Hill; children Nathaniel Broadus and wife Lyndell Broadus, Sophia "Sylvia" Broadus, Tyrai "Sort" Boyer, Christina Naesha "Baldhead" Taylor Sears and husband Gregory Sears, Edwina Princess "Dos" Taylor, Michael Edward Taylor and Nicole Bowens and a host of grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews and cousins.

 Ed was South Philly through and through. He loved all Philadelphia sports teams, with exception of his beloved LA Lakers.

Ed's preferred mode of transportation was his bike and there were no bounds to where you could find him cruising on it in South Philly.

Ed was a great friend to many and his fun-loving spirit and easy-going, yet confident swag will be missed by all who knew him.
