Elijah Otis Griffin, Jr son of the late Elijah Otis Griffin, Sr and Annabelle Griffin =, Was born in Philadelphia PA on December 24, 1951, and departed this life on April 30, 2021. His wife, Denise Rochelle, and two older sisters, Patricia and Betty Ann Washington preceded him in death.
during the time he worked at National Chemical Laboratories, Elijah also worked part-time at WHYY, a Philadelphia TV station. he loved working at WHYY as one of his managers was a well-known radio talk-show host, Terri Gross knew that Elijah was an avid reader and would give him pre-published books with co-workers at the TV station, as well as with family and friends.
Elijah leaves to cherish his memory: four children Yolanda Auguste (Romy), Adriese, Elijah, III (Caitlyn), and Terrence (Crystal); eight children, Sean Stevie, Elijah, IV, Kiyoko, Sy'nae, Mackynzi, Ashton, Terrence, Jr., One great grandchild, (Camryn); six siblings, Virginia Benson (Tony), Valerie Winslow (Samuel), Phillip (Marie), Clifford (Irish), Glenn (Lynda), and June Major (Gary); his best friend, Bill Canady, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousin, aunts, and wonderful neighborhood friends.
