Elizabeth Brown-Vincent

Elizabeth Brown, affectionately known as "Lizzy" was born at home on April 17, 1935 to the late James Brown Bey and Ruby Brown in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a child, Elizabeth studied under the Moorish faith. She attended a small private Moorish school located in South Philadelphia for early education. She then transferred to the Philadelphia public school system, attending Barrett Junior High School and John Bartram High School graduating in the class of 1954. She leaves to carry her legacy:her devoted husband, Donald Vincent, her daughters Carmen Brown, Clarissa Brown Tillery, Donna (Jeffrey) Ogletree, Denise (Mark) Robinson, nine grandchildren Jamahl Threadgill, Brandi (George) Gamble, Chalonda (Carlton) Walker, Qadree (Jessica) Tillery, Joseph (Missy) Vincent, Imani (Jameer) Nelson, Jason (Kerrin) Dupree, Shavon Vincent, Marcus Maxton, twenty-five great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and one brother, Ravanna Brown Rey
