Harriet Rhodes

Harriet Rhodes was born on June 7th, 1931, to the late Roosevelt Simmons and Edith Molly Reese in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

                On January 29, 2023, Harriet, peacefully was called home from Labor to rest.

                Harriet was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System., Graduating from south Philadelphia high school. A longtime resident of South Philadelphia, before she settled in Southwest Philadelphia.

                Harriet had three sons, Bruce, Irvin and Ronald, everyone knows that Harriet adored her boys, she was a loving protective mother and doted on her boys.

                Harriet met and married, Thomas Stevens, after his passing she met and married Richard Rhodes.

                Harriet retired after 45 years of dedicated work for the city of Philadelphia working as an administrator at the health Center on 5th and Girard Ave. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and playing cards especially Pinochle. She was a no-nonsense person who said what she meant and meant what she said.

                Harriet was preceded in death by her husband Richard Rhodes, Son: Irvin, Granddaughter: Kimberly Monroe.

                Harriet leaves to cherish her memory her sons: Bruce and Ronald, Grandchildren: Bruce Brown, Eric Reese, Sieeta Reese, Bruce Reese III and Amaya Great Grandchildren, Cousins: Ruby and Shelly and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
