Helen Mae Monroe

Helen Monroe was born in Camden N.J. to the late Lillian Sewell and William Harry Bull.

Helen was born the 5th child and only girl of 5 children (siblings). Helen was also affectionately known as Lucy way by her brothers and Aunt Mom Mom by others. Helen was called home to rest on August 26, 2023. She was educated in the Philadelphia School district which she attended and graduated from Bok Vocational high School.

Helen worked at Conrail Railroad for 30 years and for the City of Philadelphia for 10 years. She retired from both to enjoy her life. Helen was known very well by her family and friends for her beautiful style of Dress because she was a Foxy Lady. Everyone also enjoyed how she could dance like James Brown and sing like Aretha Franklin her 2 favorite artist. She could cook and bake like no other especially when it came to making whiskey cakes. Most of all she was excellent at bringing the family together for all occasions and hitting it big at the casinos. She was a wonderful very hands-on mother to her only son Kevin Tracy Monroe, whom she adored and loved so much. The Best and Strongest Single Mom ever, who totally enjoyed everything about life and people. She extended that same love and energy to all of her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Helen was preceded in death by her mother Lillian, her father William and her 3 brothers: William (Billy), Eugene (Gene) and Norman (Kenny).

She is survived by her one and only loving son Kevin Tracey Monroe and her brother Charles a host of special nieces, nephews and cousins and her cousin that was just like her brother Victor Sewell and his wife Linda.
