Jeanette "Nette" Smith, 66 of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Passed away on May 15, 2021 in her south Philadelphia family home.
Jeanette was born in Philadelphia to Ida Elizabeth Smith and Willie Wiley on September 24, 1954. She went to south Philadelphia High School and remained a lifelong avid reader. She worked as a Lead Airline Chef for Lufthansa Airline at LSG SkyChefs for 22 years until her retirement in 2020. She enjoyed a juicy Danielle Steele or Toni Morrison novel, a sweet cup of hot tea, ice cold Pepsi, dancing, and a well written detective show.
Jeanette is survived by her brother, Harry Smith of Philadelphia, Sister-In-Law Lillian Smith. Best friend and cousin Barbra-Ann Dix. 3 Daughters, Ebony, Felica, and Rhemar. 2 goddaughters Rasheedia and Tyisha. Grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley Rose, I'Master, Iyanna, Almighty, Miracle, Impress, Syheem, Ny'Asia, and Ahjere. A great-granddaughter, Amara. A host of nieces and nephews and young people who also endearingly called "Mom" or "Aunt Jeanette".
She is Preceded in eternal rest by her mother, Ida Elizabeth Smith, Father Willie Wylie, her sister Brenda Lenora, and her beloved son, John Henry "Hank" Moore.
