Leroy G Sample

Leroy G. Sample, was born on December 29, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Robert & Ida Sample, both of whom preceded him in death. Almighty God, in his infinite wisdom brought Leroy home to forever be with him on January 1, 2022. He was the second born of four children. Leroy was educated in the Philadelphia school system. He started working to earn a living at the tender age of sixteen. He was a hardworking man and held many jobs in various industries such as sales, construction, hospitality. He worked at Floor Crafters a furniture store for fifth-teen years and he was a florist for several years. However, Leroy was a professional Chef who loved to cook and worked at several restaurants in Center City Philadelphia. Regardless of his long tedious days days at work, he still found joy in cooking dinner for his family and loved ones. Leroy recently retired from work as a Driver with DLC (Jefferson Hospital). Leroy was a very down-to-earth. He got along with everyone he met and to meet him was to love him. He had a very relaxed and chilled personality and enjoyed watching T.V> especially sports, which the Pittsburg, Steelers was his favorite football team. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino. He found these activities to be his favorite hobbies. Leroy leaves to cherish his loving memory; his siblings; Robert (Bobby) Sample, Carol Sample who preceded him in death, and Joseph (Joe) Sample, his life partner and common law wife, Lisa Maria Saunders, his children respectfully Lynda, Melvin, Lisa Maria, Aleathia (Boo), Carrie who preceded him in death, Ideeya (Deeya), George (Georgie), a host grand-children; a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
