Linda Faye Bond was born November 1st, 1955 in Windsor, North Carolina to her late father, Robert Bond, and her mother Mary Bond. Linda was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and graduated from Edward W. Bok Technical high School with her diploma. Linda was passionate about childcare and entered into a 40-Year long career as a childcare worker and caregiver for children of all ages.
Linda, fondly called 'Mommy Linda' by the children she cared for, will be remembered for her cooking, contagious laughter, and her never ending dedication to the ones she loved. Linda's friends especially knew that she loved to socialize and enjoyed days out with her loved ones, including vacations to destinations like Florida and Louisiana. She was also a sports fan, and especially enjoyed attending Temple's mens basketball games and cheering her son, Monie on from the crowd. On holidays, she planned and executed grand celebrations for her family and friends. The most popular dishes being sweet potato pie made for her brother Wallace and cheesecake specially made for her brother Chrissy, and cupcakes for her niece and nephews. You could always expect a thoughtful gift from Mommy Linda when Christmas came around.
Anyone who knew Linda knew that she loved her faith, as a young girl she was baptized at Wesley AME Zion Church, where throughout her membership she enjoyed serving the church in any way she could.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert, and her goddaughter, Kamisha. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother who she loved and cared for, Mary; her brothers who she dearly loved, Chriss/ and Wallace; sister-in-law Deborah; niece Tiffany, nephews, Wallace Jr. and Jeronique; Monie special son-at-heart who she helped raise; the children she cared for, Tamir, Kyla, Kiera, Simone, and other children; and aunts, uncles, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, friends, family members, and her two best friends Gloria and Arlene.
