Lucious Bellamy Jr. was born on Wednesday, November 16, 1940 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was the Seventh of thirteen children (eight boys and five girls) born to the late Vallie and and Lucious Bellamy Sr. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters (leaving behind two sisters; Mother Bernice Murchunson and Bishop Ruby Franklin).
Lucious, Lovingly called Lou, attended Walker Elementary and Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Lou attended trade school for one year, where he learned to weld and become employed at the navy Yard in Fort Lauderdale, FL for two years.
Lucious continued to serve as a dedicated and active member of the Household of Faith Apostolic Church for many years. He happily helped to build the church from the ground up. he loved to testify about how God had saved him. he enjoyed sharing testimonies of his childhood best friend Pastor James and Evangelist Ruth Miller, he surrendered to Christ and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the Precious Gift of the Holy Ghost.
In his later Years, Lou was his wife's sole caregiver. He would visit her in the nursing home twice a day and stayed for numerous hours. He made it his top top priority to feed her always ensured she was well taken care of. She was truly the love of his life. He called her his "Georgia Girl". Lucious leaves to cherish his memory and infectious laugh, his devoted wife of 59 years and the love of his life, Glorie Bellamy; his sons, David, Ronnie, and Terry Bellamy; his daughter, Jennifer Jean-Claude; Goddaughter, Zipporah Miller-Carter; 9 grandchildren; 6 great0grandchildren; his sisters Mother Bernice Murchunson and Bishop Ruby Franklin; his best friend since childhood, Pastor James Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, friends, and acquaintances.
