Mable Edith Sewell-Woodards was born on July 27, 1932, to Howard and Edith Sewell. She departed this life on September 27, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones after a brief illness. She was educated in the Philadelphia and New Jersey school systems. She met and married Warren Woodards of New Jersey and enjoyed traveling with him during his military service. Mable especially enjoyed watching him participate in harness racing.
She was predeceased by her sister Marie, brothers Howard (Count) and Walter (Friday). She leaves to cherish her memory: One sister, Eleanor Davis of Philadelphia, Five children: Christina Woodards of Ft. Worth TX, Wanda Woodards-Harris (Ray), J. Butch Woodards (Sandra), Kathleen Woodards, and Joyce Robinson. Seven grandchildren; Leah McCloe King (Barry), Cindy Freeman (Donald), Jawanda Nicole Woodards, Dhaamin Woodards-Bey (Pop) affectionately known as "Jason", Wanessha Carter, Jubriel Woodards, and Jamilah Woodards. A host of great grands and one great great grand. Two nieces including Sheila Davis-Bonaparte (Thadious), Denise Davis-Smith the spoiled youngest, and a host of other nieces, nephews, and loved ones including a special best friend of over 70 years, Lenora Ives.
