Marie Pritchett

Marie Walters, was born February 4, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA to Mattie Walters and William Walters. She. attended school in Philadelphia; McMichael, Roxbourgh, and Sillvian. She continued her education at community college. Marie worked at Lankenau Hospital as a nurse's assistant. After that, she started working for the school district as a secretary at Clara Barton Elementary School. Marie met and later married Benjamin Pritchett, and became Marie Pritchett. From that union, they had two daughters, Rachel and Ramona, whom they loved dearly. She loved her entire family, and she was there for them whenever they needed her. Marie loved her flower garden; every summer, you would find her planting the most beautiful flowers. Marie loved to laugh. If she told you a funny story, you would have to wait for her to stop laughing first. Marie loved to travel with her family; if you asked her what was her favorite place, she would say Alaska. Marie loved the lord; every now and then, you could hear her in the house singing different hymns. She loved her grandson so much, she loved when he read to her and when he danced. In her final days, she showed us that she was a fighter. Her family said their goodbyes and showed her an immense amount of love. With hearts grateful for her life, but saddened by her passing, Marie leaves to mourn: her husband, Benjamin Pritchett; her two daughters, Rachel and Ramona Pritchett; her grandson, Aidan Butler; two stepsons, Kenny and Anthony Pritchett; her sisters, Pearl, Mattie, Annabelle, and Viola. And host of nieces and nephews.
