Mary Esther Cohen Jones

Mrs.Mary Esther Cohen Jones, Daughter of the late James Leslie and Willie Mae Cohen was born in Gastonia, North Carolina on May 24th, 1931. Sis Jones loved serving Jesus Christ through singing. It was truly her passion. Sis Jones was a joyful member of the Women's Choral Ensemble where she enjoyed many years of fellowship, friendship, traveling to conventions and serving the Lord through Song. She was also a member of the world renown Philadelphia Mass Choir, The GMWA, Gospel Music Preservation Alliance, and many other vocal ministries. Husband Mr. Woodrow Jones, children, Karen, Jeffrey O., Jonathan L., and Carlton and Mrs. Mary enjoyed her nine grandchildren, Christopher, Nakia, Jonathan Jr., Adrien, Anthony, Raymond, Kathleen, Tasha and Terra; She additionally loved her legacy ten great grandchildren; two sister friends Mrs. Edna Johnson, these two women raised their triumphs, tragedies, children, shared their families their church, and their love of Jesus Christ. And Elder Gloria Neal; one God Daughter Michelle Neal- Swain. A host of cousins, family and friends, God Children and other close associates.
