Monroe W. Griffin Jr.

Monroe W. Griffin, Jr., 84 of Philadelphia passed away on August 15th, 2023. He will be reunited with his parents Monroe Griffin, Sr. and Blanche Griffin and sister Barbara.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Griffin, one sister-in-law and his four children children: Monroe III. Gloria (Muffy), Angela, and Justina. He is also survived by one son-in-law, two daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Initially from Sharon Hill, Pa, Monroe moved to Philadelphia in his adult life. He was a private person who did not share much information about his life.

He worked for the City of Philadelphia and enjoyed reading newspapers and watching sports. He was particularly passionate about about his favorite sports teams. Although he was a private person, he enjoyed spending time with his dear friend Kevin, discussing sports and current events.
