This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118: 24
I asked…
Robin Scott
This day has come, and it’s the will of our Heavenly Father. So we question not
Our hearts are heavy, but your race is all done.
You gave your all, you gave your best, you’ve left this earth, you deserve to rest.
God has called you home to take your place in your heavily home.
So, I asked God to…
make your day, take the pain and give you rest.
You’ve seen so much and saw it through,
Seen the changes some good but, new to you. Some you accepted some you rejected.
You’ve seen this world for what it’s worth, the good, the not so good, the ugly truth. But
enough for you, you are now all through.
So, I asked God…
To make you happy, to make you smile, allow you to watch over your loved ones just for a
little while.
I pray while you watch we make you proud, mistake be little, but correction be true.
Like you said “too much like right’ will make us think things through and do things right
because we need too.
I asked God to…
guide you through this last mile and that He allow you to walk them too. So, hold
your head high, throw those shoulders back “get it together” auntie give it your best.
The pearly gates are open, the streets are paved with gold, they are smooth with no bumps
in the road.
Every day is like Sunday, sabbath has no end, you will be able to walk around heaven
Singing praises prayerfully waiting to “usher” the rest of us in.
I asked God to…
To grant you wealth, for you’ve work hard, and you’ve given yourself, your kindness, your
patients well to the very end, no more “nearer my God to thee” cause now you are nearer to
your God, be free.
I asked God to…
Restore your health, but most of all, give you care and love you well.
While we’ll miss your presents here, we bid you so long, fell well to leave all your troubles
here. Live your days among heavenly pleasures. Rest now Grantie you have earned your
place in Heaven. Sleep well Grantie no more sleepless nights, everyday the sun will shine
bright.
We’ll see you in our memories and hear you in our thoughts, but we will miss you
dearly, with ours broken hearts. All our heartbeats another generation now gone, Mommy,
Daddy, our Grantie we find ourselves alone. We are left to carry this family’s legacy.
We’ll do our best, give our best, be our best while you “our legacy” take your final rest. Another generation
completed the next must be, but we must do better with and for ourselves, to remember,
the history of a “century of life” well, lived.
