Renee was born June 9, 1953 to the late Beatrice "B" Braxton. Renee was born and raised in South Philly by her late grandparents Annie an Fred Turner who she affectionately called "mom and dad". She was educated in the Philadelphia school system and later became a Barmaid throughout South Philly for many years. Renee had three daughters the late Pamela Rawlings, Sharona Rawlings-Harris and Marquita Armour. Renee was also the oldest of 6 children.
Even as a child Renee was outspoken with an "I say what I mean and mean what I say" personality. But Renee was also a caring person at heart who loved spending time with her family. Whether it was hours phone calls everyday with her daughter Sharona, cookouts at her niece Sherese's or get togethers at her granddaughter Asia's house. What Renee loved most of all was spoiling her great-grandson's Mahkhi and Aamir who she affectionately called "Vanilla and Chocolate" and Sunday mornings praising her Lord and Savior with favorite cousin Bernard and loving church family.
Renee is reunited with her mother Beatrice "BB" Braxton, grandparents Annie and Fred Turner, daughter Pamela Rawlings, siblings Isadore Rawlings, William "Wam" Rawlings and Keith Rawlings and Aunt Ellen Rawlings Bullock.
To cherish her memory, Renee leaves her two daughters Sharona Rawlings-Allen and Georgejett Rawlings, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
