On Monday, May 17, 2021 God in his infinite Wisdom Call his daughter, Nikeisha Cherelle Artis-Simmons, From earth to Heavenly rest. "Keisha" as she was affectionately known, was born March 8, 1971 to Shirley Artis-Toler and the late Ernest Gregg. Jr. she was proceeded in death by her husband James Simmons Jr. And her grandmothers Bessie Mae Artis and Dorothy Gregg. Keisha was the oldest of her 3 siblings Kevin "Anwar," Emmanuelle and Cheryl. She was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System and attended John Bartram High School. She grew up in south Philly, she migrated to Southwest Philly and later settled in the MT. Airy section of the city She was employed by Beatitudes home Health Care, under the supervision of Ms. Dennies Sealy, and always compassionate Home Health Care, under the supervision of Jasmine and Jamiee Simmons. Keisha loved people "Period" and loved working with them. She had a flair for fashion which as Aldo's, Nordstrom's, and Dr.Denim. She also worked in the restaurant business for chicken-out and fingers wings and others things. Keisha loved the lord and received Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She attended the Met Church of Philadelphia with her Grandmother Bessie who was a member under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Thea F. Jones. She also attended the Deliverance Evangelistic Church with her mother where the late Benjamin Smith Sr. was the Pastor. Nikeisha will be dearly missed and leaves to cherish her memory her only daughter, Kori, Her mother Shirley, two brothers, Kevin and Emmanuelle, one sister, Cheryl, Her step-father, Eugene, one sister-in-law, Kiki, one niece, Devin, two nephews, Kevin and Easton, two step-daughters, Jasmine and Jamie, three stepson, three aunts, four uncles, her Godfather, Fareed Ahmed, one Godbrother, John Leach and a Host of Cousins and friends.
