The Life of Rufus Ware Jr.
Rufus Ware Jr. was born Oct 4, 1946 in Greenville, South Carolina. He was the youngest of three children born to Rufus Ware Sr. and Gustine Tucker.
Rufus grew up in the Richard Allen Projects and was educated within the Philadelphia Public school system. He attended Renolds Elementary and Benjamin Franklin High School.
Rufus was the father of six children Lacy who preceded him in death, Tyrone Rufus III, Andre’, Deana, Charlotte, three adopted daughters Ronda, Tessa, Debra.
Rufus and Deborah were married on December 8, 1985 at Foster Memorial Baptist Church where Rufus later accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior.
Rufus worked for Temple University Resident Units security department. After resigning he then work for today INC. as a drug and alcohol counselor until his declining health made it difficult to continue his duties at which time he retired.
Although Rufus retired from his job of labor, he then realized that God had a purpose for his life and gave him a new position as a servant in a new fellowship. My husband took his position very seriously and served well in it. He loved and cared for everybody and everyone loved him in return.
Rufus touched many lives in this journey of servant hood. His personality and character were a great example of the words to a song If I can touch somebody along the way than my living would not be in vein.
Rufus truly loved his wife and family he was a great husband, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother in-law and friend.
On Thursday, May 21, 20202 God dispatched his angel of mercy to bring his weary servant home no more sorrow, no more pain, safe in the arms of Jesus.
Rufus Ware Jr is survived by his wife Deborah Ware, sons; Tyrone, Rufus III, Andre; his sister Paulene Royster, his brother Sylvester Tucker, his daughters Ronda, Tessa, Debra. One niece Gustine, two nephews, Haywood, Jimmy, Fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, a host of other family members and friends and a special group of childhood friends.
