Sandra Marie Blackwell died February 12, 2012 with her family by her side. nShe was born March 26, 1953, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to Benjamin who proceed her in death, and Bertha Blackwell. Sandra was educated in the Philadelphia school system. Sandra and Thomas Darryl Glenn were united in holy matrimony and a daughter was born from this union, Crystal Blackwell-Wright. Later Sandra fell in love and united with Shadeed Jaleel Pickett and from that union two sons were born, Sharif-Yahya Jaleel Pickett and Tajiddin Jaleel Pickett. Sandra enjoyed over 20 years of working with children. She was employed at Southern Homes as a culinary Specialist, Dixon House as a Life Skills Counselor and United Communities Service Southeast Philadelphia Beacon @Bok: as a program Assistant. Sandra wisdom and life experiences served her well while working with children. She touched the lives of so many people with her infectius smile, humor and wit. Sandra was well loved in her community. She loved to entertain and party with friends. Sandra loved her family and she adored her eight grandchildren. She loved to dance, pose for pictures and listen to the oldies but goodies. Sandra enjoyed life to the fullest and encouraged people to do the same. Sandra leaves to cherish her memory: a daughter, Crystal Blackwell-Wright, son in law, Pontell F. Wright, III, two sons Sarif-Yahya Jaleel Pickett and Tajiddin Jaleel Pickett, daughter in la,. Leslie Pickett: a goddaughter, Kimberly Tymes-Ali: eight grandchildren, Sharif-Yahya Jaleel Pickett Jr., Mikhi Wright, Estevan Pickett, Maysa Wright, DeAndre Pickett, Ahman Pickett, Brindisi Pickett, and Sharis Pickett: her beloved mother, Bertha Blackwell: sisters Anna Blackwell, Madeline Hill, Lillian Allen, Bertha Halliday, Lois B. Fulmore, Eloise Bishop, Vivian L. Green, Faith E. Birckett, an adopted siste, Ann Tymes: two brothers, William A. Blackwell and Keith Thomas: twobrother in Law, Nathaniel Halliday and Dwight Bishop: and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
