Sarah Henderson was born on August 8, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of four children, her siblings Elide Ray Joyner, Charles Little, and Climatine Baldwin.
Everyone knew Sarah as “Baby”. She was educated in the Philadelphia School district where she received her Diploma.
She was a homemaker and loved to provide for her family. She also loved shopping, partying and going out to eat. She especially loved Christmas – it was her favorite holiday.
On October 15, 2022, The Lord called “Baby” home from Labor to rest. “Baby” was proceeded in death by her husband William Dunston; sons, Scott and William Jr.; grandchildren, Myeisha and Rasheed; and six nieces and nephews.
She leaves to carry on her legacy; her son, Clark Henderson; three daughters, Nuyen Henderson-Blount, Tara Henderson-Nixon and Elaine Dunston; three sons-in-law, Tone, Puit and Antwan; 20 grandchildren, Ashley, Jermain, Talisa, Aniya, Charlene, Denzel, Jasmain, Montrell, Rasheed, Hibeeb, Fatima, Thomas, Wilson, Myvyen, Nuyen, Semaj, Danarah and Moriah; One Great-Grandchild, Ashton Henderson; nieces and nephews, Denise, Lena, Tim, Ellen Wayne and Blaine; Special friends, Alina, Marie, Jibrila and Ms. Cookie; a host of family and friends; great-nieces and nephews.
