Valerie Rogers filled Her life with the Lord, Her Family and Her friends. They kept her heart filled with Joy and Happiness.
Valerie was born on March 16, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA to Pearlene Rogers and Edgar Jones. She was called from labor on August 2, 2024.
Valerie was compassionate and beloved by many. She received her education from the Philadelphia Public School System. Valerie graduated Bok Vocational High School in 1972. She worked for and retired from Frankford Chocolate Factory with over 25 years.
Valerie accepted the Lord in her heart at a young age but was baptized and became a member of Love Kingdom Fellowship Church, formerly Nazareth Baptist Church in 2003.
Valerie would light up every room she entered. Her large personality was unforgettable. Forever cracking a joke or making someone smile. She was beloved by all who encountered her. In her spare time, Valerie loved shopping, traveling, singing, dancing, and especially a friendly card game. If ever you had an issue, she had a song for you. Her affectious spirit caused a lot of people to adopt her into their family. There were so many who called her mom, grandma, aunt, sister, and especially friend. When someone was in need, Valerie never hesitated to assist. Outspoken and to the point, you never had to wonder how Valerie felt about anything. She loved her family and friends and lived life to the fullest.
As God in his infinite wisdom knew she had labored long and hard, and so came the time to give her a new home of rest and peace where He could care for her now and forever more.
Valerie leaves to cherish fond memories: Her Daughter, Tuniesha Rogers; Her Son, Ramone Monroe; Her Fiancé, Ronald Mason; Her grandsons, Waldell Baker and Mikell Rogers; Her siblings, Barbara Terry, Linda Rogers-Watson, Debra Jones, Edgar Jones Jr, Wesley Gilliard, and Richard Crosby III (Anisa Sharee); Her Aunts, Constance Jones and Gertrude Paige; Favorite Niece in the Whole Wide World, Tara Turner (Samuel); Nephew, Robert Watson; and an assortment of sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Lovingly submitted,
The FAMILY
Let not your heart be troubled; Ye believe in God, also in Me, in my Father’s House are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there Ye may be also
