Verna Marie Blake

Verna Marie Blake Was Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 16, 1961. She was the second child born to the Late Leonard and Loretta Blake. Verna Received her formal education through the school District of Philadelphia. Verna held many positions throughout her life, she was a hairdresser at her Aunt Verna's Shop. She was a State Store, Clerk a Seamstress at Quarter Master and An Avon Representative. But when all is said and Done, Verna loved to cook, and she could cook! Verna had her own business cooking for the city workers they loved her platters'. She did this until she became ill. Verna was blessed to have a devoted son, Lewis who stuck by his mother's side through it all. She adored her only child not only that Verna was very proud of the man that he is today. Sadly, Verna did not get a chance to meet her first grandchild, we are so sure she'll be watching over her. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her son, Lewis Blake, her daughter-in-law Stephane Blake. Two Brothers, Leonard Blake and John Blake along with one sister, Wanda Blake. Two Nephews, Leonard Blake III and Leroy Henry as well as three Nieces, Nikcaria ("Nicki"), Tiffany and Christine.
